Frequently Asked Questions

Indoor Golf Simulator FAQs

How much does it cost to play?

LevelUp charges per bay, not per person. Current summer rates are $24 per hour Monday through Friday and $30 per hour Saturday and Sunday. Up to 4 players per bay at no extra charge. Rates may change seasonally — see the booking page for live pricing.

Do I pay per person or per bay?

You pay per bay, not per person. Up to four people share a single hourly rate, so bringing friends costs nothing extra.

Do you provide clubs, or do I bring my own?

We keep a few loaner sets on site, free to use, first come first served, but we can't hold or reserve one. We have a single left-handed set and no junior sets, so bring your own if that matters. Golf balls and tees are provided in every bay at no charge.

Can I cancel or reschedule a booking?

You can cancel by contacting support at least 24 hours in advance for a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows are non-refundable. To move a booking to a different time, message us and we will take care of it. See Rescheduling a Session.

How far in advance can I book? Can I book same-day?

You can book up to 7 days ahead. It is a rolling 7 days counted from right now rather than to the end of a calendar day, so a slot just past the edge of the window this morning becomes bookable later the same day. This is the same for everyone — signing in or having an account does not extend it. Same-day is fine: any available slot can be booked, including one starting in a few minutes or one that just started.

Do you take walk-ins?

Not in the traditional sense — every visit needs a booking, because the door unlocks from the booking itself. But there is no minimum notice. You can book from your phone standing in the car park and be in your bay a minute later, as long as one is free. The door unlock button appears 5 minutes before your start time. Hours of Operation has more detail.

Are you really open 24 hours?

Yes. LevelUp Indoor Golf is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Access is fully automated, so you can book and play any hour, day or night. Just reserve your bay online and you're set.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

Yes. Bring whatever you like — a bag of chips, a cooler of pop, or a full meal. There is a vending machine in the lobby with drinks and snacks if you would rather not plan ahead; it takes card or tap, not cash.

The one exception is alcohol — we are not licensed, so it cannot be brought onto the premises.

Please keep food and drink at the seating area rather than on the hitting turf, and clean up before you leave.

Do you serve alcohol?

No. LevelUp is not licensed to serve alcohol, and alcohol cannot be brought onto the premises either — that includes bringing your own beer or wine into a bay. Non-alcoholic drinks are welcome, and the vending machine in the lobby has cold drinks.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes! Gift cards can be purchased directly from us on our website.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay and Google Pay through our secure checkout. Debit cards work only if they run on the Visa or Mastercard network — Interac-only debit cards are not accepted at this time.

Do you offer group discounts, packages, or memberships?

At this time, there are no group discounts, packages, or prepaid bundles. Memberships are launching soon, though we would rather not guess at a date until we have one. Two things cover most of what people are asking for: pricing is per bay rather than per person, so up to four people share a single hourly rate, and gift cards work as prepaid credit that applies automatically at checkout.

What's the difference between the bays?

All six zones run the same Trackman iO setup at the same hourly rate — what changes is the size and layout of the room. Zone 1 Ember Vale, Zone 2 Iron Links, Zone 3 Shadow Creek and Zone 6 Ocean Cut are premium-sized, with more floor space and swing clearance. Zone 4 Crimson Tee and Zone 5 Moss Ridge are standard-sized, well suited to solo sessions and smaller groups. Two pairs open into each other — Zones 3 and 4, and Zones 5 and 6 — so booking both halves of a pair gives you one connected space, with nothing to arrange. Bays, Zones & What's Included describes each room.

Is there an age requirement? Are kids welcome?

All ages are welcome to visit and use the facility, but anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of the booking.

Do people who aren't playing count toward the four?

Yes. A bay is designed for four people in total, not four players plus spectators — someone who comes along to watch takes up the same room as someone swinging. There is seating in every bay and more in the lobby, so anyone waiting a turn has somewhere comfortable to sit, but for a group larger than four we recommend booking two bays. A crowded bay also leaves a club less room to travel.

Are there any staff at the facility?

Usually, yes. We don't run set staff hours, so there's no front desk to check in at — but a team member is almost always around, especially during busy times. You might find us in the halls, hitting a few in a bay, or working elsewhere in the building. Nobody is ever far away. You never need to wait for a person to let you in: your booking unlocks the door and the iPad in your bay handles the rest. Chat and email reach us at any hour, and we pride ourselves on responding quickly.

Do you offer lessons?

Not yet. There is no coach or teaching pro on site, and we do not run lessons, clinics or programs — it is something we are working on, but there is no date we can give you. What the bay gives you in the meantime is the data a coach would be reading: Trackman iO measures every shot and puts the numbers on screen right away, so you can see what changed between one swing and the next. There are no swing-review cameras — Trackman captures the moment of impact, not down-the-line video of your full swing. Lessons & Memberships covers what is available today.

Do I need special balls or clubs?

No. Trackman iO works with standard golf balls and standard clubs. Just ensure your balls are clean and free of markings that might affect optical tracking or leave marks on our impact screens.

What is Trackman iO?

Trackman iO is an advanced indoor golf radar system that tracks your swing, ball flight, and impact data with incredible accuracy. It’s the same technology trusted by top professionals for training and simulation — now available in every LevelUp bay.

How accurate is Trackman iO?

Extremely accurate. Trackman iO uses radar and optical sensors to measure over 40 data points — including ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, and club path — within fractions of a millisecond.

Can I play real courses?

Yes! Trackman iO gives you access to over 450 world-class courses, including famous Canadian favourites like Cabot Cliffs, Glen Abbey, and Whistler Golf Club. You’ll experience realistic conditions, accurate distances, and detailed visuals.

Can multiple players use Trackman in the same session?

Absolutely. Each player can log in with their own Trackman account or play as a guest. The system automatically switches players and tracks individual stats.

Is Trackman iO good for beginners?

Yes! Trackman iO provides instant feedback that helps golfers of all levels understand their swing and improve faster. Beginners especially benefit from seeing clear, visual data on what to adjust.

Do I need a Trackman account to play?

You don’t need one to get started, but creating a free Trackman account lets you save your stats, track progress, and sync rounds to your mobile app for analysis later.

Can I bring my own Trackman login or app data?

Yes. If you already use Trackman at another facility, you can log in to your existing account at LevelUp and all your progress will sync automatically.

Where do I park?

Parking is free — no permit, nothing to validate. The lot is in front of the building and shared with the other units, and no space is assigned to us, so park in any open spot. There is no overnight restriction, so late-night bookings are fine. Head for Unit 5 at 188 Barton St. and look for the LevelUp Indoor Golf signage; you can see it from the lot. The route from the lot to the door is step-free. There is no marked accessible space, but since nothing is assigned you are free to take whichever spot is closest. Location & Parking has a map link.

Can I wear golf shoes?

Spikeless golf shoes are fine, and clean athletic shoes work just as well. Spiked shoes are not allowed as they damage the turf. Before You Arrive covers the rest of what to bring.
